I generally take time to think what to make on Sunday mornings because Sunday is the only day when my family sits together for breakfast ….and they all wait for Sundays because I always make something special of their choice on Sundays .I will reveal my secret to you, I always try to make something very healthy witch is also very tasty so that at least once a week I make them eat a very healthy breakfast …. And this breakfast recipe is a bundle of protein

Processed cheese,grated…….. 1 cup
Green chilli,chopped …… 2
Gram flour (besan) …….1 1/2 cups
Carom seeds (ajwain)………. 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Baking powder …………..1/4 teaspoon
Red chilli powder………… 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder………… 1/4 teaspoon

Lebanese veg rolls

A very interesting recipe my kids love these Lebanese roll with lots of cheese… you also try some variations and let me know how your kids like that this way we all will be benefited.. 

Lebanese veg rolls

Ingredients:

Basic pizza dough ………for six
For veg roll…
Potatoes …..3 boiled
Green chillies …2 chopped
Fresh coriander ….4tbsp chopped
Boiled mix veg of your choice …..1 cup
Bread crumbs ……… 1/2 cup + for rolling
Salt …as per taste

Red chilli powder …..as required
Chat masala …..1 tsp ( optional )
Mango powder…. 1 tsp
Oil for frying
Cheese grated ( mixture of cheddar and mozzarella )

Method ..

Mix all the ingredients of veg roll in a bowl and make cylindrical rolls out of it ..
And roll all of them in remaining bread crumbs . Heat oil in a skillet and fry rolls till light golden in color.
Make medium size balls out of pizza dough and roll each of them into small squares ( around 2.5 inch x 2.5 inch)
Spread cheese on the square and place each roll in the middle of the square and cover roll with one corner of the square .
Place each of them in a baking tray and bake at moderate temperature till turn light brown .
Enjoy with salsa sauce …

PIZZA POCKETS





Basic pizza dough …….1 recipe
Oil …2 tbsp
Onion …………..2 chopped
Baby corns……200 gm cut into very small pieces
Mushroom ………1 cut into thin slices
Capsicum ……..1 diced
Garlic ……4-5 flakes , crushed
Tomato purée ….1/3 cup
Tomato sauce ….1 Tbsp
Oregano(dried) …1/2 tsp
Salt …..as per taste
Pepper ….to taste

METHOD:

To prepare the spread , heat 1 Tbsp oil . Reduce heat. Add garlic. Stir and add chopped onion in it cook till translucent . Add baby corns , mushrooms stir and cook for few min. Add capsicum . Stir and add tomato purée ,tomato sauce , salt and pepper . Simmer for 3-4 min on low heat . Add oregano / pizza seasoning . Cook for 2 min till thick.

To prepare pizza pockets …

Make 6 balls. Roll out a little and flatten each to a thin square pizza, even thinner then 1/4″. Prick each base with a fork.
Brush pizza base with butter .
Spread sauce on center of it leaving all sides free and sprinkle grated cheese on top now fold all the corners to make a pockets seal ends with the help of water .
Bake pockets in a preheated oven at 180 C for 15 min.

As I told you earlier Indian food and spices provide health benefits . We have always made food keeping in mind the health benefits that the food will serve us. My grandma always taught me how to make food with love .
And you know coriander / cilantro, or dhania, has great health benefits, namely treatment of swellings, lowering cholesterol levels, diarrhea, Mouth ulcers, anemia, digestion, menstrual disorders, small pox, eye care, conjunctivitis, skin disorders, blood sugar disorders, etc. etc. etc.
And you’ll be amazed to know that It has eleven components of essential oils, six types of acids (including ascorbic acid, better known as vitamin-C), minerals and vitamins, each having a number of beneficial properties.

So with the combination of so much health benefits coriander is ofcourse an important part of our daily meal . I am sharing a very tasty fritter made up of coriander;…. healthy crispy coriander fitters .

Vermicelli upma one of my favorite breakfast I love the way my mom and grandma use to cook this delicacy of south superb flavor of curry leaves and coconut, spicy  ,tangy , tasty and ya crunchy also because of peanuts and cashew some time she use to make it with vegetables also but I like it this way you also try this and tell me how you like this spicy treat……..

VEGE UPMA


INDIAN BREAKFAST ARE VERY HEALTHY AND TASTY ALL OF THEM ARE FULL OF FRESHNESS AND GOODNESS OF FRESH VEGETABLES AND HEALTHY SPICES ENJOY THIS LOVELY TREAT ……….

· Ingredients:
1 Cup Sooji/Rawa
• 1 Onion (chopped)
• 2 tbsp Ghee
• 2 Cups water
• 1 tsp Urad Dal
1 carrot chopped
6 to 7 French beans
1 big floret of cauliflower
½  cup peas
• 2 Green chilies (chopped)
• 1/4 tsp Ginger(chopped)
• 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
• Curry leaves
• 8 Cashew nuts
• Salt to taste

How to make Upma:
Roast rawa in a dry skillet on low flame until it starts to give off a distinct aroma. Take it out.

Heat ghee in the same and add cumin seeds, curry leaves, mustard, urad dal and cashew nuts .

Now add finaly chopped vegetables green chilli, ginger, onions and cook again for 3 minutes cover with lid.

Now add salt, roasted sooji and water.

Stir well and cover it.

Upma is ready. Serve it with pickle.

Mater Poha “puffed rice with pea’s recipe”


Wonderful, tasty and healthy break-fast for all age group….
Poha “puffed rice”- 2cups
Cauliflower chopped -1/2 cup
Pea’s…………………1/2 cup
Onion chopped…2 big
Green chili……..2
Lemon juice…….2 tsp
Ground nut………1/4 cup
Sugar………………..1 tsp
Salt……as per taste
Red chili………1tsp
Kari patta………4 to 5
Mustard seeds……1 tsp
Method-
Wash poha with plenty of water in a big strainer leave it in strainer till all the water drain out and poha become soft.
Heat a vessel with 2 tbsp of oil add mustard seeds and kari patta wait for few seconds then add chopped onion in it stir till it turn light golden in color now add chopped cauliflower and pea’s in it cover with lid and cook in slow flame  till vege turn soft .
add ground nuts and mix well.
Now add salt, turmeric and red chili powder in it and mix well.
Squeeze lemon and mix sugar in it add this mix into poha
Add green coriander and mix. Serve hot
